Her Island (2017)

Her Island is among the chosen winners of American Illustration 39. Through the painting, Yimiao shows her appreciation for the spirit of women's dedication and sacrifice, which is not only in women themselves but also in many other lifeforms, such as trees, flowers and fruits. Women brought life to the world, bringing a gentle, bringing the colours, bringing the wide and the most fertile nourishment. The texture of Yimiao's paintings always gives women subjects a warm and delicate sheen. Yimiao once noted that her illustrations are more a miniature of life of modern women, rather than an epitome of another world.
